The KCD2 map Kuttenberg above covers the entire second region of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, not only Kuttenberg city. Use its search and filters to find quests, beds, fast-travel points, merchants, chests, skill books, hunting grounds, underground entrances, and the caravan back to Trosky.
Quick answer: Select Hide All, enable only the marker type you need, and zoom in before following a city pin. KCD2 has two separate region maps: Trosky is the starting region, while Kuttenberg opens later through the main story. You cannot reach it early by riding to the edge of Trosky.
If the embedded KCD2 map Kuttenberg feels cramped, open the full-size interactive map in a separate tab.
How to Use the KCD2 Map Kuttenberg
The embedded map is maintained by MapGenie. Its marker list changes as locations are added or corrected, so this guide focuses on dependable filters rather than totals that may become outdated.
For a readable route:
- Choose Hide All before enabling filters.
- Turn on one main category and, at most, one supporting category.
- Search with the English name used by MapGenie when a localized place name returns no result.
- Open the marker note before travelling; it may mention a floor, locked door, restricted area, or quest requirement.
- Treat Henry's journal and the game's access warnings as authoritative. A correct pin does not unlock a location.
Signing in can let you mark locations as found, but it is optional. Search, filters, zoom, and route planning work without sharing progress, and MapGenie's tracking remains separate from the discovery state in your save.
Use the KCD2 map Kuttenberg as a planning layer, then confirm access in Henry's current save before committing to a long ride.
Best Filters for Each Job
Use the smallest layer set that answers your immediate question:
| Goal | Filters to try |
|---|---|
| Travel and save | Fast Travel, Bed, Lodgings, Tavern, Baths, Caravan |
| Buy or repair gear | Blacksmith, Weaponsmith, Armourer, Gunsmith, Bowyer, Tailor, Cobbler |
| Find quest content | Main Quest, Side Quest, Task, NPC |
| Collect upgrades | Skill Book, Recipe, Treasure Map, Chest, Weapon, Lore Book |
| Explore hidden areas | Interesting Site, Underground Entrance, Shrine, Easter Egg, Grave |
| Gather and hunt | Rare Herb, Woodland Garden, Nest, Beehive, animal filters |
Kuttenberg city has many overlapping service pins. On the KCD2 map Kuttenberg, search for a specific service such as Gunsmith, Scribe, Baths, or Skill Teacher instead of displaying every merchant at once. In the countryside, pair Fast Travel with only the collectible or resource you are currently pursuing.
How to Get to the Second Map
Kuttenberg is the game's second large region. The story takes Henry there after the Trosky main-quest sequence that ends with The Storm. The Sword and the Quill then starts around Suchdol and introduces the Kuttenberg chapter.
The interactive KCD2 map Kuttenberg can be viewed before that point, but its pins do not bypass story progression. Finish the arrival sequence, then discover the in-game travel points normally. Military camps, private buildings, monastery grounds, and some tunnels may remain restricted until a relevant quest or door becomes available.
The Explorer perk in the Scholarship skill tree can reveal the ordinary in-game map and points of interest. It does not replace the interactive filters, and neither tool removes quest locks.
Fast Travel, Hardcore Mode, and the Trosky Caravan
In the standard modes, fast travel works only between destinations Henry has already discovered. Time passes, hunger and fatigue change, and random encounters can interrupt the trip. Turn on Fast Travel in the KCD2 map Kuttenberg and build a useful network before chasing isolated chests.
Hardcore Mode disables ordinary fast travel. The interactive map is still useful for planning, but Henry must navigate by roads, terrain, sun, and landmarks. Prioritize beds, taverns, baths, and major junctions, and avoid assuming that a map pin is a travel shortcut.
In Hardcore, keep the KCD2 map Kuttenberg focused on the next leg of the journey so the screen does not become a substitute for reading the terrain.
The main regional anchors are:
- West and arrival route: Suchdol and the caravan camp.
- North: Bohunowitz, Raborsch, Horschan, Grund, and Opatowitz.
- Centre and west: Wysoka, Miskowitz, Pschitoky, and Devil's Den.
- East: Kuttenberg city, Sedletz Monastery, and Old Kutna.
- South: Bylany, Maleshov, and Old Lhota.
How to Return to Trosky
Ordinary fast travel cannot cross between the two region maps. Find the red caravan icon west of Suchdol, speak with the coachman, and pay 200 Groschen for passage to Trosky. Travel advances the in-game clock, so check urgent or timed objectives before leaving.
The return coach in Trosky is marked by a red wagon toward the eastern edge of that region, on the route beyond Nebakov. Once regional travel is available, the caravan runs both ways; arriving in Kuttenberg is not a permanent one-way transition. Use the separate Trosky interactive map to locate the other end.
Before leaving the KCD2 map Kuttenberg region, sell excess loot and verify any timed objective because the coach journey advances time.
Where to Sleep in Kuttenberg
For the quickest answer, enable Bed, Lodgings, and Tavern, then inspect the marker note before going there. A bed icon may be a free bed, rented lodging, or a bed tied to story progress; it does not mean every nearby bed is legal to use.
On first arrival, follow The Sword and the Quill around Suchdol: the objective leads Henry to his assigned sleeping place. In Kuttenberg city, look for an inn or tavern that offers lodging, pay the innkeeper when required, and ask where the rented room is if the dialogue option appears. Your owned or rented bed should show Sleep and save rather than only Sleep.
If a KCD2 map Kuttenberg bed marker appears unusable, check the opening hours, the exact floor or courtyard in the note, and whether the room is unlocked by a quest. Do not trespass into a private bed just because it sits near the pin.
Best First Route Through the Region
A service-first circuit reduces backtracking:
- Suchdol: Activate the arrival-area point, identify a legal bed, and note the caravan west of the settlement.
- Road east: Discover Devil's Den and central settlements without detouring to every forest pin.
- Kuttenberg gates: Unlock the city travel points in standard mode; in Hardcore, memorize the gate and road layout.
- Market and crafts: Locate a bed, bathhouse, blacksmith, armourer, weaponsmith, tailor, scribe, and gunsmith.
- Underground preparation: Show Underground Entrance pins, but carry a torch and lockpicks and enter only when access is open.
- Regional sweep: Use your known service network to collect books, recipes, treasure, and interesting sites in small groups.
This KCD2 map Kuttenberg route gives Henry places to repair, sell, sleep, bathe, and save before remote exploration. It also separates essential navigation from optional completionist markers.
Kuttenberg City and Underground Entrances
The city occupies the eastern side of the region and has much denser pins than the countryside. Zoom in before following a chest or NPC marker: the target can be on another floor, behind a courtyard, inside a private building, or beneath the street.
An Underground Entrance pin marks a way into the tunnel network; it is not a complete underground floor plan and does not guarantee that every passage is open. Some routes depend on quests, keys, locks, or access from a different entrance. The separate in-game map of the Kuttenberg underground is also a quest-related item, not the same thing as the surface pins on this page.
When a marker seems wrong:
- Read its note for underground, upstairs, locked, or quest-related.
- Check Henry's current journal objective and restricted-area warning.
- Try the named entrance rather than the closest point directly above the target.
- Return later if a door or NPC is tied to story progression.
The KCD2 map Kuttenberg helps you reach an entrance; the game state determines which tunnel Henry can actually use.
Collectibles, Hunting, and Quests
Start with Skill Book, Recipe, and Treasure Map, because they lead to specific long-term rewards. Chests, nests, and interesting sites are more numerous, so enable those only for the part of the region you are clearing.
This keeps the KCD2 map Kuttenberg readable and turns each outing into a short, achievable route instead of a sweep of unrelated icons.
For hunting and alchemy, combine one animal filter with Rare Herb or Woodland Garden. A hunting pin describes a habitat, not a guarantee that an animal will stand on that exact spot at every hour.
For quests, separate Main Quest, Side Quest, and Task. This makes it easier to see whether the next objective is in the city, a village, or on a remote road. After the KCD2 map Kuttenberg gets you to the right area, use the dedicated walkthroughs for Dragon's Lair, In Vino Veritas, and The Thunderstone for quest-specific choices.
KCD2 Map Kuttenberg FAQ
Is this only a map of Kuttenberg city?
No. It covers the full second region, including Suchdol, Sedletz, Miskowitz, Bylany, Maleshov, Grund, and other settlements. The city is only the dense eastern section.
When does Kuttenberg unlock?
The story moves Henry to the region after The Storm, and The Sword and the Quill begins the new chapter. Viewing pins early does not unlock the region in your save.
Where can I sleep?
Enable Bed, Lodgings, and Tavern. Use the assigned bed introduced around Suchdol or rent legal lodging from an innkeeper; verify that the bed offers Sleep and save.
Why can I not enter the underground location?
The pin may mark an entrance rather than the target below it. The required passage can be locked, quest-dependent, or accessible from another entrance. Follow the marker note and current journal objective.
Can I return to Trosky?
Yes. Use the red caravan west of Suchdol and pay 200 Groschen. The coach provides two-way regional travel after it becomes available.
Does the interactive map save my progress?
It can track checked locations when you sign in. Searching and filtering work without an account, and its tracking does not change the discovery state in your game.
